A Yarrow business is holding a flood relief fundraiser this Saturday to help those affected by the Fraser Valley flooding.
The Farm Store in Yarrow is asking people to donate cash, food and more during its fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 27, and they will have a big tank on site that they want to fill with items.
“We’d love to see it overflowing with non-perishable food, diapers, and formula for families affected by this devastating flood,” they said on Facebook.
There will also be duck chili for sale by donation. Bowls of chili will be handed out free to all flood workers.
The fundraiser is taking place at the same time as their Eats and Treats Christmas Market, so vendors will be onsite. All vendor’s booth fees will also be donated to the flood relief community centre.
Yarrow MB Church will be arranging the distribution of donated items.
The fundraiser and Christmas market takes place Saturday, Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Farm Store at 4540 Simmons Rd. in Yarrow.
Vedder Mountain Road is expected to be open by Saturday. The other route into Yarrow is via the Keith Wilson Bridge.
