Geotechnical assessments are underway along Highway 1 between Popkum and Hope after crews were able to create a route amid receding flood waters.
In an update Friday, provincial officials confirmed that the significant amount of debris along the major artery had been removed by crews.
Further updates are anticipated this weekend.
The province has mandated a restriction on non-essential travel along highways impacted by the recent flooding that wreaked havoc on southern B.C.
When asked if Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley would be included in this provincial order once reopened, Transportation Minister Rob Fleming said that would depend on the condition of the roadway once the assessment is complete.
Crews, including the Canadian Armed Forces, have been busy in the Fraser Valley, repairing what they can and preparing for an upcoming second storm on Monday and Tuesday.
