A video that shows RCMP officers saluting Chilliwack General Hospital (CGH) workers is getting a lot of attention on social media.
The one-minute-28-second clip taken on Hodgins Avenue shows about a dozen cruisers with flashing lights in front of CGH as a sign of support for those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s been shared hundreds of times and has more than 15,000 views.
The move by Mounties follows a request that residents of Chilliwack applaud health-care workers by applauding on front porches every night at 7 p.m.
For several nights people have been out banging pots and pans, applauding, and cheering those helping to battle the coronavirus pandemic.
