Event brings attention to issues of abuse and inequality

Dozens of people gathered at the Ann Davis Transition Society on Saturday to march to City Hall in inaugural Fraser Valley Women’s March in Chilliwack.

On the steps of the city building speakers included former Tribal Chief with Sto:lo Tribal Council Joanne Gutierrez-Hugh (Xwiyolemot), UFV’s acting president Jackie Hogan, and Ann Davis Transition Society executive director Patti MacAhonic.

Local Juno nominee Inez also performed at the event.
