One person is dead as a result of a multiple vehicle crash on Highway 1 that occurred late Friday night, Sept. 6.
Langley RCMP responded to the crash at 9:40 p.m., said Sgt. Joe Leeson.

A tow truck towing a box truck collided with a tractor trailer unit, which trapped both the driver and passenger of the tow truck.
Firefighters extracted the passenger, who was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The highway was blocked east-bound, as well as the 264 Street on-ramp.
