UPDATE: RCMP look for witnesses in skateboard collision

A Chilliwack skateboarder remains in serious condition following a collision at the Evans roundabout, Saturday

Chillwack RCMP are looking for witnesses as they continue their investigation into an incident Saturday that sent a skateboarder to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 25-year-old male collided with a vehicle at the Evans Road roundabout at around 2:45 Saturday afternoon. He was rushed to Royal Columbian Hospital where he remains in serious condition.

Witnesses said the boarder was travelling with the traffic when he entered the roundabout.

The Lower Mainland District Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services were at the scene and assisted the Chilliwack Traffic Services with the investigation. The roadway was closed for several hours.

The investigation is being conducted by the Chilliwack  RCMP Municipal Traffic Unit who are canvassing for witnesses to this collision.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
