The RCMP is asking for the public's help to find in 83 year old Melville Donald McLean.
The Lindell Beach resident was last seen at 11:45 a.m. on Feb. 10. A family member saw him in the 1900 block of Columbia Valley Road.
He is described as a Caucasian male, 170 cm (five-foot-seven), 86 kilograms (190 pounds) with blue eyes, and white hair.
“Police and family are concerned for Melville’s well being and believe he may be in need of medical attention,” said Cpl. Mike Rail.

UPDATE Feb. 12
After two days of looking the RCMP have suspended their search for Melville Donald McLean, 83, in the Lindell Beach area.
The search was initiated on February 10, 2016 when a family member reported to police that Mr. McLean was missing from his residence in the 1900 block of Lindell Beach.
General Duty officers supported by the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service, RCMP Air Services, and Chilliwack Search and Rescue immediately launched a search, scouring the surrounding region for the missing man.
“The search area is a mountainous, forested terrain with several creeks flowing down to Lindell Beach,” said Cpl. Will Vandebrand of the Chilliwack RCMP.
On Feb. 11, after exhausting all efforts to locate the missing man, police have suspended the search.
“RCMP have conducted a thorough search of the area for Mr. McLean and continue to reach out to the public for assistance in locating him," Cpl. Rail said.
"Investigators have not ruled out the possibility Mr. McLean has wandered into the forest which is a popular destination for back country hikers. Police urge everyone to keep an eye out for Mr. McLean,” said Cpl. Mike Rail.
