Chilliwack RCMP have released the names of a Surrey couple arrested in connection with a reported car theft.

Ian Mountain, 26, and Lisa Shaw, 41, were allegedly driving a stolen vehicle when they pulled into a parking lot on Aitken Road where members of the RCMP’s crime reduction unit were investigating a property crime.

Both suspects have been charged with possession of stolen property, and Mountain faces an additional drug-related charge.

A small amount of drugs was found during the Oct. 21 arrest.
