‘Tis the season to be wary: RCMP

Chilliwack RCMP are advising industrial and farm equipment sellers to secure their properties in light of recent thefts.

Chilliwack RCMP are advising industrial and farm equipment sellers to secure their properties in light of recent thefts in the Fraser Valley.

Owners of recreational equipment like snowmobiles and trailers are also advised to lock down during the Christmas season.

Police are also encouraging neighbours to watch out for each other.

“At this time of year many people travel to visit family and friends, so it’s a good time to have neighbours and friends checking on your home to ensure it appears to be occupied,” Cpl. Barbara Vincent said.

“Know who should be in your neighbourhood, and call your local police if you observe any suspicious activity,” she said.
