Chilliwack residents can use the hashtag #ChilliwackTogether to stay connected while staying apart.
City of Chilliwack is helping to build spirit and connection by reminding folks about the ChilliwackTogether campaign.
“While this is a difficult time for many, we have seen and heard about so many instances of community members stepping up to help one another,” said Mayor Ken Popove. “Sharing more of these moments with each other builds community spirit and shows what a kind, caring place Chilliwack can be.”
The ChilliwackTogether campaign was created earlier this month by community partners, and residents have been using it to share positive stories, artwork and encouraging messages.
There are many ways for us to come together while staying physically apart. This long weekend, create some artwork that encourages others and post pictures with #ChilliwackTogether to share some community spirit! Learn more: http://t.co/gPPhMSOAGB pic.twitter.com/KyCrruRNmg

Artwork could be a thank you message, a photo of something beloved, or a statement about the importance of physical distancing. Everyone is invited to post photos with #ChilliwackTogether or email photos to engage@chilliwack.com to share your spirit!
For anyone looking for inspiration, themed colouring pages are available for download at chilliwack.com/connect.
Art from the community will be featured on the city’s social media and website.
