Snowfall warning issued in Lower Mainland despite approaching spring

Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley could see up to 10-15 centimetres

It may be March, but snow is still in the forecast for the Lower Mainland.

Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning, calling for 10 to 15 centimetres over high terrain. Monday’s rain will switch to wet snow in the afternoon and early evening.

In the Fraser Valley, snow mixed with rain will continue into Tuesday morning, with five to 10 centimetres possible.

The agency warned drivers to be careful and that there could be significant impact on rush-hour traffic.
