Session on homelessness for Chilliwack business community April 19

Event is hosted by Chamber and DT Chilliwack BIA and sponsored by PCRS

Chilliwack has been impacted signifigantly with a recent increase in homelessness from the housing affordability crisis.

The Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Chilliwack BIA are jointly hosting a homelessness information event April 19 at the Best Western for the business community of Chilliwack.

This info session is sponsored by Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS) and will provide an opportunity for merchants and business leaders to learn more about the local homelessness crisis.

“We will cover topics like why people are homeless, who our homeless neighbours are in Chilliwack, and what projects are coming to Chilliwack to address this crisis,” said Graham McMahon, PCRS’ Housing Development Coordinator.

The info session is April 19 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the SureStay Hotel by Best Western Chilliwack. Tickets are $10 for BIA/Chamber members, and $20 for non-members. Participants can register at www.chilliwackchamber.com. All proceeds go toward launch of the PCRS Housing First pilot project.
