Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire that broke out at the Masonite door-manufacturing plant in Yarrow late Monday.

There are no reported injuries, and the fire appears to be limited to a hopper on top of a barn at the plant located on 41916 Yarrow Central Road.

However, No 3 Road carrying local traffic from Hwy 1 connects with Yarrow Central Road at that location.

The cause of the 3:15 p.m. fire is believed to be sparks from a broken rotor blade igniting sawdust in the hopper.

Masonite International is one of the largest door-manufacturing plants in the world.
