Skiing on Sasquatch Mountain will have to wait just a little longer.
Due to the ongoing threat of flooding and need for elevated safety along local roads, Sasquatch Mountain Resort has announced the opening date has been delayed until Dec. 17.
Day tickets or rentals pre-purchased for Dec. 10 to 16 will be reissued. To transfer tickets and rentals to another date, contact the guest experience team at email@example.com. The transfer does not apply to blackout periods during Christmas Break and Family Day weekend.
“We thank you all for your continued support and patience as we navigate through these uncertain times, and we look forward to welcoming each of you for some fun in the snow this winter!” the announcement from the resort reads. “Our heartfelt sympathies, best wishes and support go out to all local businesses and families who have been impacted by the floods.”
The provincial government extended the current state of emergency related to the flood until Dec. 14, which partially influenced the opening day postponement.
