UPDATE: Traffic moving again after rollover on Highway 1 in Chilliwack

This is the second collision in four days in the same area of the highway in the ess curves

Highway 1 is now clear following a rollover near Annis Road late Saturday morning.

Firefighters from Popkum and Chilliwack Halls 1 and 4 were dispatched around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 to the scene east of Annis Road in the westbound lanes of Highway 1.

Upon arrival, crews found one person still in their overturned vehicle, but they were not trapped.

As of 12:20 p.m., the highway was clear.

This is the second collision in four days in the same area of the highway in the ess curves.

In Wednesday’s collision, at least three vehicles were involved and both lanes of traffic were affected.
