RCMP take down Agassiz grow-op

Police found 127 plants but no people when they raided a suspected grow-op in Agassiz.

Agassiz RCMP took down a marijuana grow-op March 5 in the 1600 block of Parkwood Drive in Agassiz.

After receiving a tip, RCMP investigated, and then were joined by District of Kent officials in a visit to the house.

They placed a ‘no occupancy’ sign outside. Inside, they found 127 plants in the basement, but no people.

The search for suspects continues.

Agassiz RCMP have been very diligent in disrupting grow-ops in the community,” said Cst. Tracy Wolbeck. “It is important to the community and police that these drugs do not hit the streets.”

Anyone with info on this grow-op or any other criminal activity in Agassiz is asked to call the RCMP at 604-796-2211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
