RCMP searching for skid steer stolen from Agassiz worksite

The skid steer was taken just after midnight on Feb. 18 and is valued at $100K

RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a John Deere skid steer stolen from an Agassiz construction site.

According to an RCMP release, the skid steer, also known as a track steer, was taken from a construction site on Lougheed Highway just after midnight on Monday, Feb. 18.

The skid steer, valued at $100,000, is a yellow 2016 John Deere, model 333E. Police say it had a “fairly unique ‘matt grapple’ attached to the front of the machine” when it was stolen.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Agassiz RCMP at 604-796-2211. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
