A prolific offender is facing five charges after an RCMP search of his residence turned up drugs and stolen goods.
On June 11, RCMP got a call about a break-and-enter in downtown Chilliwack. Computers and credit cards were stolen, which proved to be the undoing for Shane Montgomery Blackall.
RCMP say the 38-year-old used the credit cards, and they were able to track the transactions.
With enough evidence for a search warrant, they showed up three days later at his residence in the 46000 block of 2nd Avenue. Inside, they found the stolen items. They also found drugs.
“Quick and thorough police work by our investigators brought this matter to a swift conclusion,” said Cpl. Len vanNieuwenhuizen.
Blackall now faces one count of unauthorized use of credit card, one count of fraud under $5000, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one count of possession of stolen property under $5000.
He is in custody awaiting a court appearance.
