UPDATE: Popkum man located

RCMP have located missing Popkum man Wilfred James Kilgren, 69, safe and sound.

Kilgren had last been heard from by a caregiver on June 12, 2018 and RCMP issued a call for assistance in locating him June 20. They believed he was travelling the Coquihalla between Rosedale, Grand Forks and Creston and had asked the public to be watchful for him.

“Police and caregivers are concerned for Mr. Kilgren’s well-being and believe he may be in need of medical attention,” Corporal Mike Rail, spokesperson for the Upper Fraser Valley Regional District said Wednesday.

The RCMP thank the media and public for their assistance in locating Kilgren.
