Police seek witnesses to long board crash

Chilliwack RCMP are looking for witnesses to a Friday night crash between a pick-up truck and two young long boarders.

Chilliwack RCMP are looking for witnesses to a Friday night crash between a pick-up truck and two young long boarders.

Police said the two youths were crossing the intersection of Vedder Road and South Sumas Road near the Shell gas station at about 11 p.m. when they were hit by a what was described as a black Ford pick-up truck.

"The driver of the vehicle stopped and exchanged some information with the youths," Const. Tracy Wolbeck said.

But police have not  been able to "authenticate" the information, she said.

"We are looking for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, so we can make contact with the driver involved," she said.

The two youths suffered minor injuries, and one of their long boards was broken in half.
