UPDATE: Missing 17-year-old from Abbotsford has been located

Matthew Balogh was last seen in Abbotsford on Sunday, April 18 at 10 a.m.

UPDATE: The Abbotsford Police Department indicated on Thursday, April 22 that Matthew Balogh has been located. No further details were provided.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 17-year-old.

Matthew Balogh was last seen at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 18 near George Ferguson Way and Clearbrook Road.

Balogh is 5’ 10” with a slim build, long curly blonde hair and hazel eyes. He is believed to be wearing jeans, a black Canada hoodie with “Canadian” and a maple leaf on the shoulder, an unknown coloured T-shirt and brown shoes with orange laces.

Police say his family is very concerned because this is out of character for Balogh, and they believe he may be planning to camp in the Abbotsford area.
