Pedestrian struck at Main and Kipp in Chilliwack

Witness said it was a ‘low-impact’ collision for man trying to cross the street

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Main Street at Kipp Avenue Thursday morning.

A witness said it was a “low-impact” collision for the man trying to cross the street.

The man was able to slowly sit up and then stand, with the help of emergency personnel, to get onto a stretcher. He was taken to hospital.

It happened around 10:15 a.m. One lane of Main Street was temporarily blocked to traffic as a result.
