Pedestrian killed at Chilliwack rail crossing

One person is dead after a pedestrian was struck by a train on Eagle Landing Parkway Monday evening.



One person is dead after a pedestrian was struck by a train on Eagle Landing Parkway Monday evening.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at the controlled intersection, and closed the busy roadway in both direction while police, CN Rail security and the coroners office investigated.

Police are releasing little information about the incident, including the victim’s name.

This is the second death at the location in the past four months. On Nov. 4 a pedestrian was also struck and killed.
