Facebook posts indicate that a missing Chilliwack man has been found deceased near the Agassiz Rosedale Bridge.

Ronald Garry Beckley, 53, was last seen by a friend on June 24 near the Highway 9 bridge. Investigators had not dismissed the possibility that he was travelling outside the Fraser Valley.

“Police and family are concerned for his well-being,” Cpl. Mike Rail, spokesperson for the Upper Fraser Valley Regional District told Black Press earlier this week.

Garry Beckley, 53, was last seen June 24. Police have not confirmed any details, but Facebook posts indicate that Beckley was found deceased Friday morning.

Condolences are pouring in across social media after a loved one posted, “With heaviest of hearts, I have to deliver the devastating news that Garry is being recovered as I type.”

Police have not yet confirmed any details on the recovery. Stay tuned for updates.
