One person is dead following a collision between a CN Rail train and a single vehicle in Chilliwack Monday night. The accident occurred at the rail crossing at Prest Road and First Ave. at around 9:45 p.m.
It is a controlled crossing, with both flashing lights and control arms.
Investigators were on scene late into the evening.
The accident is the second traffic fatality in Chilliwack in as many days. On Sunday night a Chilliwack man died after falling from the back of a truck in Yarrow.
