Maude Barlow in Chilliwack Nov. 21 to talk water crisis

Local environmentalists and stewards are looking forward to hearing from Canadian author Maude Barlow.

Billed as "one of our planet's greatest water defenders" by organizers with the Chilliwack Chapter of Council of Canadians, Barlow will be in Chilliwack at GW Graham for an event on Nov. 21.

She'll be sharing her thoughts on Canada's water crisis, as highlighted in her latest book, The Boiling Point.

"With great warmth and precision, she also shows that by taking up the call for water justice ~ so intimately connected to other struggles ~ we can start to build the society we want," wrote author Naomi Klein about Barlow's book.

Join the Chilliwack Chapter of the Council of Canadians on Monday, Nov. 21 at the GW Graham school theatre to hear Maude Barlow, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
