Excessive speed and liquor consumption were factors in a single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning.
A 19-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle on Young Road and hit a Hydro pole near Olds Drive.
His vehicle ended up in some nearly bushes, but the driver wasn't injured. The Hydro pole wasn't so lucky, taking heavy damage.
The driver has been slapped with a 90 day driving ban, a speeding ticket, a ticket for failing to stop at a top sign and another for driving contrary to driver restrictions.
