Lorraine Russell (Fitchett) passed away peacefully on March 27, 2016 at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack at the age of 82, with two wonderful friends by her side. She was born on October 4, 1933 in Orillia, Ontario to John and Elsie Fitchett. She was the youngest child and is predeceased by her parents, as well as by all of her siblings.
Lorraine relocated from Ontario and had been a long time resident of Chilliwack. She was a retired nurse and had spent most of her career working at the Chilliwack General Hospital as an LPN. After retirement she worked as a community home support worker for a few years. Lorraine was a member of the Broadway Church. She also kept active with various activities and would volunteer for a number of organizations, including the Chilliwack Cat Safe Haven. She touched countless peoples’ lives and will be missed by many. Lorraine is lovingly remembered by her children Don (Debbie), Ken, and Dianna; her grandsons Tyler Russell, Armyn Miller, and Miles Miller (Jenifer); and her great-granddaughter Kaylyn Russell (Kristy). She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cascade Hospice, as well as everyone else for their love and support. There will be no service as per Lorraine’s request.
