Two separate crashes in Chilliwack had traffic blocked and backed up near each other Wednesday morning.

Both incidents happened around the same time, shortly after 10 a.m. on Sept. 1.

In one collision, a logging truck flipped over and was on its side on Industrial Way near the Yale Road West overpass, north of Highway 1. The incident was reportedly blocking the train tracks and the road was shut down as a result.

The second crash happened on Highway 1 eastbound. Emergency crews responded to a vehicle that went over the bank west of Lickman Road. Traffic was backed up in the area. As of about noon, traffic was flowing again and there was no delay.
