Kids lose out again as playground equipment is destroyed in a second arson at Promontory Elementary school.

“This is the school’s second brush with arson in four months,” Const. Tracy Wolbeck said.

The earlier arson in June closed the playground for the summer until repairs were completed in late September.

“It’s really unsettling when we see crimes directed at kids,” Wolbeck said.

“In this case, the only people losing out is the kids at the school.”

Police continue to investigate the Oct. 21 fire, but so far have no leads.
