A Kent inmate was taken to hospital earlier today (Wednesday) with undetermined injuries after an assault in one of the prison's living units.
Kent officials and the RCMP are investigating the 10 a.m. incident.
The maximum security prison located near Agassiz is under a partial lockdown now until officials determine it is safe to lift the order.
No staff or other inmates were injured during the incident.
Kent officials were not immediately available for comment.
