There was nothing scary about Halloween for a couple from Hope.
Roland and Laurie St. Amour won $500,000 playing the Extra on the Oct. 28 Lotto 6/49 draw.
“My wife and I checked our ticket, and the machine played the jingle,” recalled Roland. “We got really excited after hearing the music!”
That jingle told them they had won the Extra to the tune of $500,000.
The happy couple plans to take life easier, and make some big decisions for the future.
“We haven’t thought about what we’ll do with the money,” Laurie said with a smile. “We have to figure out how we’ll celebrate the win first!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Peter’s Food Market in Hope.
