A "high-risk" female sex offender who targets children and teenagers has taken up residence in Chilliwack, RCMP officials reported Friday.

Audrey Elizabeth Jean Black, 35, was released from prison Friday under "strict conditions," said RCMP Sgt. Kevin Gibson. He urged anyone who sees Black breaking conditions to call the police immediately.

Black was serving a four-year sentence for sexual offences against children in Saskatchewan, and for publishing child pornography.

"Her method of operating is to offer babysitting and child care/daycare services and communicating online with children," police said in a Friday media advisory.

Black is being supervised by Chilliwack Community Corrections officials and monitored by members of the Chilliwack RCMP's serious crime unit.

Black is described as a tall (6'1") white woman weighing about 170 lbs. She has brown hair, hazel eyes and wears glasses.

Her conditions of release include:

- No contact with anyone under 16;

- Not to attend any public place or daycare centre where persons under age 16 might be present;

- Not to own, possess or use a computer, phone or other device that has internet access, or to communicate online with any person under age 16;

- Not to have a relationship with the parents or guardians of children, unless they have been informed of her criminal history in the presence of her probation officer.

Anyone who sees Black breaking any of those conditions is asked to call RCMP Cpl. Harinder Kheleh at the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment in Chilliwack, 604-792-4611.
