Family-friendly open house coming up at the Chilliwack RCMP detachment

The Chilliwack RCMP is hosting a free Open House event June 10 at the main detachment on Airport Road.

“We want to connect with the community and showcase some of the different police tools, techniques and resources we use to keep our community safe,” according to the May 31 RCMP release.

The family-friendly open house will feature tours, face painting, photo-ops, and the chance to see inside a police car.

“We look forward to connecting with the community we serve.”

Kids can get a picture taken with Safety Bear or RCMP members in their red serge.

Folks can get a look at ‘Big Blue’ from the emergency response team. There will be police dogs, police vehicles, motorcycles, an ATV and canoe to check out.

Parking out front of the main detachment on Airport Road and on the side of Kiernan Drive.

The open house is Saturday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 45924 Airport Road, Chilliwack. BBQ by Chilliwack Fire Department by donation.
