Extreme weather causes bus cancellations for Agassiz, Harrison and Hope

Routes 11, 22 and 66 cancelled due to winter storm that hit eastern Fraser Valley

BC Transit has cancelled service on a few bus routes through the eastern Fraser Valley for Wednesday due to extreme road and weather conditions.

The Hope Regional Transit System, Route 22, is closed until further notice.

The Agassiz Harrison Route 11 is also cancelled, as is Route 66 that connects Chilliwack, Abbotsford and Langley.

The alert for the service disruption was announced at 5:10 a.m. and is active until at least 7:10 p.m., according to a press release from BC Transit.

There are also expected delays along all Chilliwack bus routes.

The alert for the area reads:

“Please be advised that due to weather and road conditions the all routes are running behind schedule. We are attempting to keep as close to schedule as possible. We will update the alerts as conditions change. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

66 Fraser Valley Express is cancelled at this time due to extreme road and weather conditions.

22 Hope is cancelled at this time due to extreme road and weather conditions

11 Agassiz Harrison is cancelled at this time due to extreme road and weather conditions.”
