Chilliwack RCMP are looking for a lone male who robbed a gas station on Saturday, and may have fled in an older, four-door vehicle.

Chilliwack RCMP are looking for the lone male who robbed the Esso gas station on Young Road last Saturday morning.

Police learned from a witness that a grey, older-model, four-door vehicle was seen leaving the gas station around the time of the 4:23 a.m. robbery.

“The male suspect is described as wearing blue jeans with designs on the rear, and a black, tight jacket with a white shirt underneath,” RCMP Cpl. Len vanNieuwenhuizen said in a news release.

He said a lone male entered the gas station at about 4:23 a.m., demanded money, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police attended the scene and launched a perimeter ground search, but then learned from a witness that a vehicle was seen leaving the station at around the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
