Crews were called out at approximately 5:40 a.m., after being alerted to a structure fire in the 9000-block of Charles St.

Fire crews from Halls 1, 2, 4 and 6 responded, and discovered smoke and flames showing from the exterior of a fourplex upon arrival.

“The quick arrival and swift action of crews prevented significant fire damage to the interior of the building,” according to the release.

There were no firefighter or civilian injuries reported and the residents of the home were able to safely get out.
