A pair of unidentified men who allegedly attempted to rob a senior in downtown Chilliwack are getting the Crime Stoppers spotlight as the latest ‘Crime of the Week.’
In the evening hours of Jan. 6 police say the suspects approached a 66-year-old man in the 46000 block of First Avenue and allegedly demanded money. When the victim refused, they allegedly knocked him to the ground and took off.
The victim suffered minor injuries, but he was able to provide Chilliwack RCMP with descriptions of the men, which police used to produce composite sketches.
The first suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 20 years old with a scar on his face while the second man is described by RCMP as approximately 20 years old and a man of colour.
“RCMP are reaching out to the public for assistance identifying suspects of the alleged robbery,” said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Rail. “Fortunately the gentleman did not receive serious injuries.”
