COVID-19 outbreak declared over at Cascade Lodge of Chilliwack

Outbreak originally declared Jan. 26 when 10 residents and three staff tested positive

Fraser Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak over at Cascade Lodge in Chilliwack.

The Feb. 8 notice from Fraser Health followed implementation of “comprehensive strategies to prevent and respond to the COVID-19 outbreak at this location,” according to the release.

The outbreak was originally declared on Jan. 26 when 10 residents and three staff tested positive.

Residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities are each allowed one designated visitor and one essential visitor. Essential visits include visits for compassionate reasons, such as end-of-life care or those essential to a resident’s care and mental well-being.
