Cyril Williams has been missing since Monday from his Chilliwack home.

Chilliwack RCMP are hoping to speak to a young couple who helped a missing man late Oct. 3 change a tire on the south side of the Mission Bridge.

Cyril Williams, 78, is African-American with a medium complexion, 5'6" tall and approximately 170 pounds. He has not been seen since Monday.

The couple were driving a newer model silver Toyota Yaris, and the man identified himself as Josh.

"It is really important that we speak with these people," said Chilliwack Const. Tracy Wolbeck. "Mr. Williams has been missing now for four days and this couple could provide us with a lot of information. If you hear this plea, please contact Cpl. Kheleh with the Serious Crime Unit at 604-702-4152."

Williams is on several medications, including some for high blood pressure, that require regular dosing. He did not have any with him. This type of behaviour is very out of character, says RCMP.

He is possibly wearing a black leather jacket, brown or tan pants, and black or brown shoes. He was last seen by his wife at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 3 at his home on McIntosh Drive. Police say he was likely driving his green 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier, licence plate 821 HDR.
