A little cheer is being handed out on Christmas Day in Chilliwack by the residents of Annis Residence.

They made up little cheer packs from community donations that are being given out between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. from downtown Chilliwack.

“This is their small effort to give back to the community,” according to organizers of the initiative from Pacific Community Resource Society (PCRS) and the Chilliwack Health and Housing Centre.

Included in the cheer packs are: gloves, hats, hand warmers, home-baked goodies, candy canes and mandarin oranges.

The residents plan to spread out throughout downtown safely handing out goodies, and will include the hospital area and staff if they can. As well, they will be giving out hot chocolate out and about in the downtown as well.
