Chilliwack RCMP are asking for public help locating a 15-year-old boy who’s been missing since Sunday.

Marcus Simonson was last seen by his step-mother at 6:30 p.m., and sent a message to her via Facebook the next day.

“However, he would not divulge his location to her,” Cpl. Tammy Hollingsworth said, adding that Marcus has gone missing on a previous occasion when he hitch-hiked to Alberta with a friend.

She said Marcus does not have a cellular telephone, and it’s believed he is not carrying any identification.

“He is a student at Chilliwack Senior Secondary, however he has not attended school since his disappearance,” she said.

Simonson is 5’10” tall, weighs 145 lbs with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, a red Adidas zip-up sweater, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.

“The RCMP and family members are concerned for his safety,” Hollingsworth said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
