The owner of a downtown Chilliwack boutique is appealing to the public for any information about a smash and grab.

The incident took place early on Saturday morning (March 20), says Mary Urquhart, owner of Mary’s on Wellington.

“Security footage from four different angles, shows two jerks, both on pedal bikes riding on up, throwing their crow bar through the window, dropping bikes, then both jumping through my window, (with alarms at full blast) filling their arms with all they could carry and then jumping back out window, all in under two minutes,” she wrote on Facebook.

“If anyone has any information regarding this ridiculous act of vandalism that occurred here at Mary’s on Wellington, please help us by either phoning into the non-emergency RCMP line or by contacting us (me) directly.”

She said the Chilliwack RCMP are in possession of the video footage, and that she is not sharing it publicly herself. It is a very clear image though, she added.

Anyone with information can call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611, and the police file number is 2021-11263.
