Chilliwack Search and Rescue called to motorbike crash near Fraser River

Emergency crews were called out to a motorbike collision by the Fraser River Saturday afternoon.

The incident, where a 23-year-old man fell off his motorbike, happened sometime before 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the end of Gill Road.

Chilliwack Fire Department and BC Ambulance Service were on scene, but the location of the crash was not accessible by ambulance or fire truck.

The man was “quite a ways into the bush,” according to emergency crews on scene.

Chilliwack Search and Rescue (CSAR) was called to help. RCMP was also on scene.

Paramedics used a private vehicle to access the man and around 2:20 p.m. CSAR was on scene communicating with paramedics on how to get him out of the bush.
