RCMP are seeking eye witnesses, dash-cam or security footage of an alleged assault reported more than a week ago on Majuba Hill Road.

Chilliwack RCMP responded to a call March 14, 2021, at about 3:30 p.m. to the 42000-block of Majuba Hill Road after a man allegedly brandished a revolver, and struck the homeowner who approached him outside the residence.

Police say after being confronted by the homeowner’s friend, the male suspect, and a second suspect sped away from the scene in an older model silver-green Chrysler Seabring.

Officers said they later located a 58-year-old-man at the hospital receiving medical treatment for injuries to his head.

“Evidence gathered by officers to this stage of the investigation does not point to a random act,” said Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Mike Rail. “We are reaching out to residents and motorists who may have captured images of the suspects or vehicle to contact us.”

The first suspect was described as Caucasian, middle-aged, 175 cm (5’9), wearing a knee-length coat, camouflage ball cap, green face covering and blue jeans. The second suspect was a Caucasian man, with brown hair combed back on his head.

Chilliwack RCMP are asking residents and motorists who may have captured video in the 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. window in the area on March 14, to contact police.

Anyone with information or footage is asked to call police at 604-792-4611, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
