RCMP arrested three people while busting an alleged dial-a-dope operation in the Broadway Avenue area of Chilliwack.

The investigation, initiated by the Chilliwack RCMP Crime Reduction Unit Drug Section (CRU), targeted a person suspected of selling illegal drugs throughout the city. Investigators linked the suspect to an address in the 46000-block of Andrews Avenue.

Three people, who police say are allegedly associated with the dial-a-dope ring, were detained May 26 outside of a local business. Evidence seized during their arrest allowed the RCMP to get a search warrant under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.

During a search of the Andrews Avenue residence, officers seized paraphernalia believed to be used in the production of crack cocaine, along with two pill presses.

“A very busy alleged crack cocaine dial-a-dope ring has been shut down by Chilliwack RCMP,” said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Rail. “Our officers remain committed to reducing crime by taking illegal drugs off of the streets.”

Following a thorough investigation and review of evidence, the RCMP will forward a report to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) for possible charges.

The suspects cannot be identified until they are charged.

The RCMP reminds anyone who sees anything suspicious to contact them at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers (anonymously) at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
