Chilliwack Progress photojournalist Jenna Hauck is up for two provincial photo awards.
The B.C. and Yukon Community NewsMedia Association announced the finalists for its 2022 Ma Murray Awards on Monday, March 21.
Hauck is a finalist in both the Feature Photo Award (over 10,000 circulation) and Photo Essay Award categories.
Her photo essay called ‘Before and after the blaze that destroyed Lytton’ is one of three finalists in that category.

Hauck’s image of two-year-old Ivy McLeod, a congenital bilateral amputee, laughing while playing with Lucky the puppy outside their Chilliwack home is up for a Feature Photo Award. Both Ivy and Lucky were born with “limb differences.”

The annual awards recognize excellence in all aspects of the news industry including reporting, photography, advertising, community contribution, online excellence and more.
The winners will be announced during the Ma Murray Awards Gala at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond on May 14.
