While arresting a prolific offender allegedly breaching conditions of a court order, Chilliwack RCMP officers seized drugs believed to be fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine.
On Jan. 24, Mounties in the 45000-block of Patten Avenue recognized a man they found to be breaching a court-ordered bail condition.
The man resisted arrest but was taken into custody and found with the illegal drugs.
Trevor Alexandor Roger, 43, of Chilliwack is charged with three counts possession of controlled substance for trafficking, two counts breach condition of release order and wilfully resisting or obstructing peace officer.
Roger has several cases before the courts, including two K files (domestic assaults). One of which he faces a trial on March 29. The Jan. 24 alleged breaches are connected to bail conditions in advance of that trial.
He is next due in court facing all charges on Feb. 22.
“Our officers are vigilant while constantly remaining current with the compliance of individuals subject to the conditions of court orders in the community,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Rail said.
RCMP remind everyone who witnesses anything they believe to be suspicious in nature to contact police at 604-792-4611 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
