Chiefs eliminated from BCHL playoffs

The Chilliwack Chiefs are done for the year after failing to win any of their three round-robin games in the BCHL semi-final round.

The Penticton Vees and Nanaimo Clippers will face off for the BCHL crown while the Chilliwack Chiefs pack up their lockers.

The Clippers beat the Vees 2-0 Tuesday night in their second meeting of the double-round robin third round format.

Sheldon Rempal had a first period goal for Nanaimo with Yanni Kaldis adding a third-period insurance marker.

The win gives Nanaimo and Penticton two apiece, making it impossible for Chilliwack (0-3) to overtake either team.

A scheduled game against the Clippers Saturday night at Prospera Centre won't be necessary.
