Charges follow recovery of stolen truck in Maple Ridge

Ridge Meadows RCMP arrested a man and a woman after a truck was stolen in Chilliwack on Thursday.

The pickup was seen traveling into east Maple Ridge around 7 a.m. Police located the truck in a rural area and conducted a search involving integrated police dog services and emergency response team. Two suspected were seen walking away from the truck and arrested.

“Once again modern technology assisted this investigation. The built-in GPS assisted police in locating the truck and making the arrests,” said Cpl. Brenda Winpenny.

According to RCMP, Brent Fox, 46, of Mission, and Amanda Owens, 38, of Abbotsford appeared in Provincial Court on Thursday and were remanded in custody on charges of possession of stolen property and breaches of past court ordered conditions.
